A dental extraction is the removal of teeth from the dental alveolus (socket) in the alveolar bone.
MINOR ORAL SURGERY
Minor oral surgery is a procedure common to a few types of treatment needs:
– Removal of impacted wisdom tooth.
– Removal of broken root.
– Removal of badly chipped tooth.
Scaling involves a deep cleaning of the tooth above and below the gum line in order to remove any plaque and calculus that has accumulated on the tooth
Tooth polishing is done to smooth the surfaces of teeth and restorations. The purpose of polishing is to remove extrinsic stains, to remove and prevent further plaque accumulation, increase aesthetics and to reduce corrosion of metallic restorations
Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap
A crown is a restoration that covers or caps a tooth to restore the normal size and shape of the tooth
Orthodontic treatment is the use of braces, most commonly to straighten crooked teeth or to correct prominent upper front teeth
Denture is a plastic appliance with plastic or porcelain teeth attached to it. Used to replace all missing teeth in one arch.
Tooth whitening can be performed to reduce discoloration and staining, or simply to provide the patient with whiter, brighter teeth.
ROOT CANAL THERAPY
During RCT, the dentist will clean the inside nerve of the tooth to preserve the tooth. Once the nerve is removed, the root is filled with a root canal filling material.
Dental implants are designed to replace natural teeth that have been lost from trauma or have been extracted.
